We'd like to invite any interested faculty to participate in a discussion of Horizon (2019) by Barry Lopez, hosted by the Minor in Sustainability and the Environmental Humanities Initiative.

Barry Lopez is a 1966 graduate of Notre Dame and a uniquely powerful and highly influential writer. He is the author of Arctic Dreams, for which he received the National Book Award; Of Wolves and Men, a National Book Award finalist, and many novels. He is a recipient of the Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the John Hay Medal, Guggenheim, Lannan, and National Science Foundation fellowships, Pushcart Prizes in fiction and nonfiction, among many other awards.

English professor Laura Walls Ph.D. will introduce the discussion. She is the author of an upcoming biography of Lopez.
