This award-winning 2017 biographical documentary directed by Brett Morgen looks at the life and work of primatologist, ethologist, and anthropologist Jane Goodall.

Using a trove of never-before-seen footage, this documentary tells the story of Jane Goodall’s early explorations and research in Tanzania, focusing on her groundbreaking field work, her relationship with her cameraman and husband Hugo van Lawick, and the chimpanzees that were the subject of her study.

Each documentary in the “VegFest Film Fest” considers one of three interrelated themes: the environment, health, and animals.
